Zimbabwe’s longest running urban culture festival, Shoko Festival, will be emitting nothing but good vibes this year and their headlining acts are a perfect representation of that. Headliners such as Bazooker, South African comedian Celeste Ntuli and Ti Gonzi will be rocking the stage offering their unique talents and diversity.

Their aim for this years show is to unite Africa through arts, creativity and music as well as comedy, amidst the xenophobic attacks that have erupted in South Africa. The festival will begin on the 27th and end on the 29th at the Harare Chitungwiza. The comedy night special will be driven by the theme 'Return of the Zim Dollar' and will have Celeste Ntuli as the headliner along with other local and continental comedians.

Countries to be featured include Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe

The theme is a response to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa and they were hoping to feature Celeste from South Africa in hopes to show the world that Africa is still united and can have a good laugh together.

Celeste (performs on 28 September) is known for her role in the popular Isibaya as Siphokazi and is one of the biggest names in the South African comedy scene. She is also the first South African black female comedian to record a one-woman show called “Seriously Celeste”.

Ti Gonzi (performs on 29 September) has gained popularity amongst the youth for his thought provoking lyrics that speaks to the young Zimbabwean living through the hardships of the country.

Bazooker (performs on 29 September) Zim's favourite dancehall artist will be doing what he does best, light up the stage with his mega hits “Bho Here”, “Ndozvida” and “Rega Ndishaure."

"Good Vibes Only is all about creating an inspirational artistic space in the trying times of Zimbabwe today. Shoko will be a Good Vibes Only zone where it’s all about free expression, thrilling performances and positive energy" They wrote.

“Celeste brings the laughter, TiGonzi brings the vibe and Bazooker brings the fire! Its definitely gonna be a good vibe festival." They added.
