Zimbabwe multi-award-winning fashion designer, Thembani Mubochwa, has called on the corporate world to consider financing the profession.
Mubochwa made the revelation ahead of his Pan-African Fashion show slated for Paris on October 1-2.
He joins 10 other designers from across the world who will don the UNESCO Headquarters courtesy of Nigeria’s fashion designer Lexy Mojo Eyes.
The designer says all is in place and will showcase his famous PVC collection which he will blend with some African style material.
Mubochwa’s trip is fully funded by a local sponsor and has urged local business people and show promoters to consider the fashion industry.
He makes the trip in the company of his trusted lieutenant Hollywood Lee and stylist Maxine Adams.
To date Mubochwa has dressed celebrities such as Jah Prayzah and was behind Selmor Mtukudzi’s famous Elephant dress
