Badboy and popular Zimdancehall chanter, Souljah Love’s attempt on a grand comeback may have hit the right buttons to secure his return on top of the cluster following the release of his latest single, Hameni.
Souljah Love had fallen under the radar for over a year now with his last hits being the chart-busting 2017’s Pamamonya Ipapo and Yekedero.
Although he was having a hard time releasing hit songs as per his heydays’ trend, the crooner remained relevant, finding his way into showbiz news for the wrong reasons due to a controversial lifestyle mainly characterised by drug abuse.
Drug abuse made the singer fall out of favour and love with hordes of music lovers. On countless times he would not turn up for his booked events, thereby disappointing scores of revelers who would have paid to watch the Ndini Uya Uya hitmaker perform.
Recently in an interview with Miss V-Candy, Jah love bluntly admitted that he was addicted to drugs although he was really trying to quit.
“I am not addicted to drugs, but drugs are addicted to me,” he said.
His on and off relationship with ex-wife Bounty Lisa also helped him stay on the news and street corner discussions.
But just when we were starting to get tired with reporting the Mbare bred crooner’s wrongs, he has given us something positive to digest on.
His new single which was accompanied by some slick visuals is a knowledge laden track with positive message that rips into modern day churches that have been turned into money making schemes.
Here is the song.....
The song is being well received, it looks like the plea by Jah Love’s frenemy, Seh Calaz who came out begging for Zimbabweans to give the former another chance did work.
