Just when the continent was celebrating the amazing milestone that South Africa's Ndlovu Youth Choir reached on America's Got Talent, more exciting news broke that the choir could be signing a deal with Simon Cowell and Sony Music South Africa.

Even though Africa's pride did not win the competition, losing the title to Kodi Lee of California, their success in the competition was celebrated because they did what many thought was impossible when they not only auditioned for AGT, but reached the finale.

One judge who is willing to take the choir to greater heights is Simon Cowell, by offering the choir a recording deal.

Speaking to 702's Joanne Josephs on the Afternoon Drive, choir director Ralf Schmitt confirmed that music mogul, Simon Cowell has offered them a recording deal.

"We are very excited that Simon Cowell and his company have exercised their option to sign the choir and together with Sony Music South Africa are working on exciting projects," Schmitt said.
