Comedy giant gets a farewell show that will serve as a rehearsal for his epic one man show in South Africa.

The big one man show which will take place in Johannesburg, Sandton on the 9th of August at the Auto and General theatre on the square, will be the comedian’s biggest show ever in his career. This forms part of the Goliath and Goliath #OneNightStand festival and will be having Carl Ncube performing has tear-dropping jokes.

The rehearsal show which will be hosted by The River Brewing Co is said to be Zimbabwe’s biggest stand-up comedy export and will take place on the 6th of August.

Carl is known for his usage of humour to approach culturally taboo topics from his home country, Zimbabwe and he is expected to do just that in his upcoming show. The rehearsal show will serve as a warm up to what his fans can expect when he performs his set.

The comedian is notorious for flying the Zimbabwean flag up high and putting his country on the map. Just recently he was part of the TED Talk summit in Edinburgh, Scotland, which celebrated its 10 year run. Carl addressed pressing issues in his country and used his comedy as a tool and wowed the crowd.

He was also just recently invited to speak at the prestigious La Ciudad De Las Ideas 2019 show in Mexico. La Ciudad de las Ideas is an international festival of brilliant minds, a celebration of creativity and curiosity. With speakers from 60 countries this unique event will offer an artistic and cultural program inclusive of short films, artistic interventions and music throughout the festival.

If that is not enough, Carl was part of a BBC show called ‘Welcome to Wherever you Are’. It is broadcasted in the UK on Thursday at 6:30pm on BBC Radio 4 and the comedian was part of the 2nd episode. The host of the show welcomes comedians from wherever they are in the world to be performing and talking about their journeys.

Entrance for the farewell show is free. Show starts at 7PM. #
