Award-winning Zimdancehall chanter, Tocky Vibes real name Obey Makamure has shed more light on his latest track-laden album, The Villagers Money.

Just seven months since he released Chamakuvangu that was laden with 22 tracks, the Mhai hitmaker is not yet done, neither has he run out of ink to pen down more inspirational music as per his trend.

"I will continue releasing music as and when it's available. Why would I look to starve people when God keeps blessing me with new ideas to produce more music that builds the society in a positive way.

"I understand some artists take year intervals to release music, but what is unfortunate is, what they take a whole year to produce will be bubblegum productions. I, on the other hand, sing music to build, hence constant releases, we don't stop building," said Tocky.

He said the album contains two volumes, with the first one already released.

“I have already released the first volume of The Villagers Money on online music selling platforms. The first volume comprises of 14 tracks primarily anchored on slow tempos. The second one consists of up to 10 party-upbeat songs which I will release by the end of this May,” said Tocky Vibes.

Before his death, the late music icon Dr Oliver Mtukudzi indicated Tocky Vibes as the future of the local music industry.
