Jah Prayzah Gives Back To His Former High School

The aim was to thank his supporters for their continued support.

Jah Prayzah revealed that he has finally fulfilled his promise of giving back to his fans to the continued support that he has received from his fans, especially on his YouTube channel.

The leading Zimbabwean musician took to social media and revealed what he has done in effort to commemorate the fact that the first million views that the music video of his hit single, “Mukwasha,” surpassing over one million views on the platform. The music video which was released back in June 2020, has actually amassed over 4.1 million views since it was released. This means that the music video has managed to achieve on average one million views every month since its release.  

In reflecting about the feat, Jah Prayzah wrote that, “I am glad we planted our first trees for the first million views on “Mukwasha” and it had to be at one of my former schools, Kambuzuma High 1. In the series of the images he shared from the event, we see Jah Prayzah plant his one tree as he is supervised to make sure that the tree survives to see the forest he has envisioned for that he will plant as part of the continued effort of t continue giving back to communities that do not have, and are looking for any assistance. 

But besides planting the tree, the slide show reveals that the event was also a public affirmation of Jah Prayzah and the contribution that he has made to embitter the lives of his community. He went on to the thank the organization, Nyaradzo Group, that made the tree-planting ceremony possible by writing, “I, together with my Sahwira Mukuru of the Nyaradzo Group, and “Friends Of The Environment” will be planting trees every time a video of mine passes a million views. That means I still have a huge backlog as most of them have since passed, but I will do as promised.”

Jah Prayzah then went on to describe the significance of the tree-planting project by writing that, “Trees represent life. Even though we cannot, it is our wish that we could live for millions of years. As we celebrate life, remember to leave a mark so people can still look at it and celebrate you even when you are not there.”

With the star only stepping into his success recently with the purchase of land to build his first home, it will be interesting to see how he continues to give back.
