“I have come to Zimbabwe nine months pregnant and am ready to deliver to my fans,” said Patoranking at a media briefing ahead of his debut show in the country.

The Nigerian music star is set to perform on Friday, April 26 at the Harare International Conference Centre alongside hotshots, Jah Prayzah, Winky D, Sulu Chimbetu, Jah Signal and ExQ amongst many others.

“It is a pleasure to have finally come through to Zimbabwe as I have been wanting to perform here for a while now,” he added.

The multi award-winning artist also revealed that he brought his full band.

“I love fusing different elements together to produce my sound so the best way to achieve this is by playing live instruments. I feel that backtracks limit an artist.

“The other factor is that I love to deliver a wholesome product to my fans. So when performing with live instruments I find it easier to deliver a top drawer act, that causes one to say I want to go to his next show,” he explained.

Regards his thoughts on ZimDancehall he said, “I believe it has a unique sound. The artists I have listened to for instance Nutty O produce some really good stuff, which if pushed will be big out there.”

He also rubbished the thought that he was afraid of sharing the stage with Winky D.

“If I was afraid I would not be here. I came here to be part of everything that will be happening on the day. I did not come here to compete with anyone. I am not here to be seen as a Nigerian act but I want to be seen as a Zimbabwean act,” he shared.

Also present at the press briefing was buzzing new kid on the block, iShan.

“I am really thrilled to be one of the artists performing on Friday. For six years I was struggling to breakthrough and suddenly I find my track Kure topping charts across all radio stations,” said iShan with a huge smile slapped on his face.
