Get your coins ready ya’ll because Rihanna’s Fenty products are now officially available in Zimbabwe in-store.

A star studded launch was successfully held yesterday at Sam Levy village in Harare yesterday.

In attendance was radio personality MisRed, award winning musician Tamy Moyo, comedian Madam Boss, Bona Mugabe, songbird Shashl and her producer boyfriend Levels as well as some of your favorite influencers.
Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa was also in attendance and she saluted the billionaire singer for conducting business in the country.

The glamorous event was hosted by Catt’s beauty, an authorized retail store for international, luxury cosmetics and fragrances such as Givenchy, Christian Dior, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Clarins, Estee Lauder, Clinique and many more.

Speaking at the launch, Mrs Karen Mutasa who is the director of Catts Beaute said she was grateful to partner with Rihanna’s brand.

“We feel very blessed that Zimbabwe is among the countries that have been able to bring this brand and it’s exclusivity to Catts Beaute Store,” she said

Catts Beaute which is located at Sam Levy’s in Borrowdale is going to be selling both Fenty beauty products and Fenty skin products.
The coveted makeup and skin care products, first introduced to the market in 2017, were not easily accessible on the African continent.
Rihanna wrote to her 130 million Instagram followers: “I’ve been waiting for this moment!! Fenty Beauty & Fenty Skin are finally dropping in AFRICA!!!”

The Barbados singer said she was excited about the launch in Africa because her motto for the brand has always been inclusivity.

"Every launch is exciting- we’re all about being reachable to everyone, everywhere. But launching across Africa in eight countries not only feels really significant to me on a personal level, but is also a big step towards our goal of bringing Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin to the whole world," commented singer Rihanna.

Following the announcement, a selection of popular Zimbabwean socialites and personalities were invited to an exclusive masterclass with Hector Espinal.

The selected attendees included Misred, Tamy Moyo, Ammara Brown, Hillary Makaya, Yahya Goodvibes & Candice Mwakalyelye.
We are not sure what packages they may have received as part of the masterclass but they have been defacto labeled as the Faces of Fenty Beauty Zimbabwe by social media.

As of the moment, Fenty Beauty hasn’t announced any Zimbabwean ambassadors yet and it’s not clear they intend to have but if they do it’ll be interesting to see if it will favor celebrities or content creators.

However our very own award-winning Zimbabwean model Nyasha Matonhodze has been selected as the face of Rihanna's Fenty Beauty Africa's global launch.

“To be the face of @fentybeauty Africa’s global launch is one thing, but as a deeply proud Zim Girl and knowing this will be launching in Zimbabwe where my family and grandma are going to see it felt particularly special,” Nyasha said on Instagram in response to her selection as the face of the global brand.
She added, “Colourism is still something we are healing from, but when beauty companies make an effort to cater for all shades it does genuinely make everyone feel included.

“Thank you @badgalriri I’m incredibly honoured to be apart of this campaign and most importantly it’s message.”

Fenty Beauty offers almost 50 shades of foundation and is one of the few brands catering for the black community in the beauty industry.

Fenty’s launch in Africa is perceived as a reaction to the growth of the continent’s beauty and personal care industry which is now valued at over $12 billion.

Latest figures show the market could reach $14 billion in 2022, oiled by a steady rise in disposable incomes among the continent’s middle class.
