Madam Boss Takes On The Jerusalema Dance Challenge

South African artist Master KG hit song Jerusalema featuring Nomcebo Zikode has become a global hit sensation that has gotten the world dancing through the tough times.

Numerous videos of people from France, Tanzania, Sweden, Jamaica and Italy have been seen across social media all just dancing to the chart-topping song. 

The song even saw it get a Spanish cover version by Matias Javier all the way in Santiago Chile and went to top the charts in countries all over the world. Shazaam has even confirmed that "Jerusalema" is the biggest record in the world, with Master KG being the most-Shazamed in South Africa, Nigeria, France, Italy and Zambia.  

Jerusalema has become a global sensation even sparking a phenomenal global dance frenzy with many people across the globe participating on the #JerusalemaChallenge by sharing beautiful videos of them dancing to the song.  

Even Zimbabweans have taken up the dance challenge and are sharing videos of themselves dancing to the hit song. Local comedienne Tyra Chikocho better known as Madam Boss has also taken part in the infectious challenge that has taken over the world.

In the video, posted on Madam Boss social media pages, the comedienne and her team are seen dressed in maid's outfits and have also darkened their facial complexions. The three ladies are seen dropping everything that they are busy with when the infectious tune comes on to dance along to it. 

The ladies then gather in the middle of the street to dance to the challenge, their moves are a bit different to the ones that have been seen in videos on social media but nonetheless the executed the challenge to perfection. 

Some viewers of the video have taken issue with the fact that the ladies have used blackface in the video, but it seems Madam Boss couldn't be bothered by the comment. 

South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa has encouraged citizens of the republic to take part in the popular challenge on September 24 which is Heritage Day and a public holiday in the country. 

Ramaphosa during his last national address on September 16 gave Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode's hit song Jerusalem his stamp of approval.  

“I urge all of you to take up this challenge on Heritage Day and show the world what we are capable of our performers have demonstrated to the world that we've got good music and good dance and good move, so quietly let's celebrate our heritage,” said the president.
