Prophet Emmanuel Makanidwa is a famous man of God and televangelist originally from Zimbabwe. He was born on 25th December 1977 in Chitungwiza. 

He is one of the wealthiest and most famous pastors or ‘prophets’ as they commonly refer to the men of cloth. The source and magnitude of his wealth is, however, a controversial affair as is common with pastors in Africa who come up through the television broadcast route. 

Apparently, It is a common belief in Africa that televangelists often make money by preying on and manipulating their numerous poor followers.

He is the founder of the United Family International Church (U.F.I.C.).

Makandiwa house

One of the most notable properties linked to the flamboyant man of God would have to be the lavish and humongous house located in Harare’s plush Glen Lorne estate.

Makandiwa's house is so large that some would mistake it for a hotel while some taunted it to be a sanctuary by the church meant to host foreign dignitaries.

The pastor also owns several luxury vehicles which he uses in his ministry and also on his personal endeavours.

Net Worth

Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa is rumoured to have a net worth of about $150 million. While speaking at the Billionaire Mindset summit, Prophet Emmanuel was quick to point out that aside from ministering to his numerous followers he also engaged in a fair share of personal business ventures which have gradually amassed to the mammoth of assets he oversees now.

He also went on to say that he had been listed on the London stock market as Emmanuel Makandiwa and not as the United Family International Church.

He has a G65 Mercedes Benz which was rumoured to be the first of its kind on the continent and is worth upwards of $300,000. He also has in his fleet a 5.7 litre Lexus Lx 570 which is a common car of choice for powerful men on the African continent.

Mining Business

Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa also has a precise interest in the mineral industry dealing especially in gold. Towards the end of 2014, he was said to have purchased a gold mine for Zimbabwe from a Chinese company known as Ming Chang. The deal was reported to be worth a whopping $1.3 Million and was financed by an unnamed Zimbabwean Bank.

These transactions were executed under the umbrella of a trading company known as Havillah Gold which is linked to Prophet Emmanuel by the fact that all of its board members are members of the United Family International Church.

Makandiwa is also alleged to own a huge stake in Ster Kinekor’s holdings in both Zimbabwe and Zambia. 

Ster Kinekor is a South African cinema company as well as the entire region’s top movie exhibitor. 

In conclusion, whether his wealth is from his role in the church, or from his skills as a businessman, one thing remains consistent. This is one wealthy man.
