Ammara released the song's video as an "inspirational gift of peace" she told her followers on Instagram. In her post, she explained that "In a time when we pass judgment based on our skin or status, it is of paramount importance that we not only remember our Ubuntu but LIVE it."

The singer has now shared the visual gift of the a cappella version of Glow in the Dark and the message she wants to get across is still the same, people should embrace Ubuntu.

Ammara explaining the song to the Chronicle said, “I began to write this song while in a relationship. He was questioning me about rumours he’d heard about me and yet ironically, he was a celebrity himself, experiencing similar cyber abuse and such.

“I realised I was living in an unnatural cage called fame. The best thing I could do to escape this oppression was explain my humanity in a song. The best parts about me are not my skin or my name. I’m human which means my truth is in my spirit and it shines from within.

“In a time when we pass judgment based on our skin and status, it is of paramount importance that we not only remember our Ubuntu but live it.”

Ammara has been keeping busy during the countries 21-day national lockdown, which was implemented to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

During the time that borders have been closed and the country has experienced protests due to the high inflation rate in the country, Ammara has released new music for her fans.
