Desmond Tambawoga Chideme better known by his stage name Stunner, is a Zimbabwean Hip Hop artist who rose to fame in the early 2000s as one of the Urban Grooves music movement pioneers.

What happened to Stunner’s mother?

Stunner was born on the 11th of May 1980, in the Glen Norah suburb of Harare and he was raised by a single mother Elizabeth Rose Chideme.
Sadly, Stunner’s mother is one of the thousands of people in Zimbabwe who lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic. She succumbed to the virus on the 3rd of January 2021 in Harare.
The death of his mother hit Stunner hard and he took to social media to vent about his loss
“Please don't come to my phone and tell me it's going to be okay, it's never going to be okay.
Who is going to tell me "you are drinking too much and bringing some of those bottles to the nest?" He wrote.
“Who is going to pray for me when I travel and when I'm low? Who is going to prepare and force me to take Zumbani and moringa powder? Who will do the rosary for me coz I never learnt? Whose "good morning Tambawoga" text am I going to wake up to?” He continued.

Stunner’s family
It’s unclear whether or not Stunner has any siblings as this information has not been provided. He is however a father of a sweet girl and he has been married at least twice.
He got married to popular socialite and philanthropist- Olinda Chapel in 2016 after paying lobola for her but their marriage did not last for long and the two had a heavily publicized and bitter break-up where Olinda Chapel accused Stunner of cheating on her.
After his relationship with Olinda Chapel ended, Stunner began a relationship with model Dyonne Tanaka Tafirenyika and some sources even claim that the couple were married.
Stunner and Dyonne welcomed their first child together, a daughter called Kyra Owami Chideme in December 2017.
Stunner’s relationship controversies
Despite starting their relationship on a very high note, Stunner and Dyonne’s relationship has been full of its share of drama and they have dragged each other on social media and even to court.
In 2020, Dyonne took to social media to accuse Stunner of allegedly defiling her then-16-year-old sister and threatening to kill her but she deleted the post a couple of hours later.
In April 2022, Stunner was accused by Dyonne of physically assaulting her and he appeared for trial before the Harare magistrate Evelyn Mashavakure.
