Pokello was speaking during her presentation at the inaugural of She Roars at University of Zimbabwe where she highlighted that her marriage to the Ghanaian fashion designer and actor aimed to prove a point that she was marriage material.
"I made a lot of mistakes in my life and I have learned from them. I also got married at the age of 28 because I felt like I needed to prove to people that with all my scandals, I still am wife material," said Pokello.

She added that this was a learning curve for her as she realised that there are better things to focus on than proving things to people.
"We do not need to prove or validate anything to anyone. What you need to do is focus on your careers, making money and happiness," she said.
During the same presentation, she urged young women never to give their male counterparts the power to choose their destiny.
"Stop giving men the power to define your destiny. I am such a feminist and a major advocate for independent young women." said the Queen of Swagger.
Pokello's marriage to Kurmodzie spanned three years before meeting its Waterloo. After her divorce, she moved on with Ronald Muzambe popularly known as Rondon, whom she still is with.
