Takura, the self-proclaimed Shona Prince has announced an album launch party for his latest work Star Signs. The launch will be bundled together with the star's birthday party. The launch party that has been titled Shona Prince Fest is going to be held on Saturday the 31st of October was initially set for a different date in the first announcement due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The new post announcing a date change read;

Due to Covid-19 bs* we have decided to move the show date to the 31st of October to make it comfortable for y'all, seeing that it will be a Saturday. So please delete the previous posters and download the updated ones I'll be posting after this message.

The message also went on to notify his fans that due to Covid-19 measures the event shall only have a maximum of 100 fans.
The exclusive live session and birthday party have been priced at $10 (USD) per ticket and with only a 100 tickets available it's bound to quickly sellout.

The event is going to be held in Avondale, Harare and is said to feature Zim hip-hop's men of the moment Holy Ten, Zimdancehall royalty Freeman, GZE and the only man in Zimbabwe who moulds his art to Jamaican standards in Nutty-O.
The artists lined up all feature on various songs on Takura's latest album Star Signs which has been making impressive numbers on the charts. iTunes currently has Star Signs as the number one album in Zimbabwe and the track Cut them off which features Holy Ten has climbed to the top spot on the Top 100 Zimbabwe playlist on Apple Music.

The album features a strongly mixed blend of music without one dominant genre. It has a bit of trap music, RnB, afro-fusion and traditional hip-hop. Takura definitely targeted the international market on this one with features from South African heavyweights like Tellaman and production by the likes of Tweezy who has worked with the likes of Cassper Nyovest among many others.
Social media has been awash with the #NdiniNdinayeChallenge inspired by one of the new songs. Since Takura's birthday falls on the 30th of October, we can't imagine a better way to celebrate than with a live session for a number one album.
Go get them, King!
