Shungudzo the American based Zimbabwean hitmaker has just announced her return to music, with upcoming releases. The singer who was part of the Fifty Shades of Grey: Freed soundtrack which featured artists like Jonas Blue, Rudimental and Bantu among others had largely been quiet this year save only for credits for songwriting on projects like Love Center by ASL and What's your pleasure? by Jessica Ware.

Although her words were being shared into the world we have certainly been missing her vocals! Her last single release was in 2018 and fans have been waiting for quite a while now for some new music. Shungudzo, however, hasn't been shy about posting poetry regularly on her platforms amid her constant efforts in online activism. She's been especially loud about her support for the American elections and by shining a light on the goings-on in Zimbabwe with 'Zimbabwean Lives Matter' in recent times.

Having been in the music industry for a few years now, Shungudzo she still hasn't blessed us with an album yet.

Imagine our giddy excitement when she announced her upcoming album titled Motsi.

Shungudzo born Alexandra Shungudzo Govere first rose to fame in 1999 by being the first black gymnast to represent Zimbabwe in artistic gymnastics at the All Africa Games. Shungudzo also appeared on the Reality TV Series The Real World: San Diego. Being a Record Producer is one of her many other talents.
