My Melody which is Nox Guni's collaboration with Master KG is now a certified megahit on Mtv base music channel. The artist posted a picture on his Instagram with the song playing on the tv with the coveted Mtv Base megahit tag. The song which came out a few months ago was the latest in among many collaborations between Zimbabwean and South African artists.
From collaborations like Takura featuring Tellaman to Dj Maphorisa & Kabza featuring Sha Sha, it's a recipe that's been known to lead to success. My Melody has the usual up-tempo beats which we have become accustomed to with Master KG's music.
Nox sings a catchy melody that makes the song easy to go along to and the collaboration was done at just the right time. Master KG has been hot property lately with the worldwide success of Jerusalema and it's dance challenge and it seems like everything he's touching is turning to gold. The video for the song has racked up over a million views and it shows no sign of stopping. These are numbers Nox's music seldomly crack and it's s testament to how good the track is.
Nox is one of the few artists who was still maintaining a day job and then doing music after work. The artist who holds a university degree unlike most others was last known to be working as a business development executive for a training and recruitment company. The talented singer had also launched his very own clothing line which he called "Ice n Roses" which was set to be specialising in casual and smart wear.
On his Instagram story, Nox also published a series of videos proclaiming that his track My Melody with Master KG was now a global hit. Very soon Nox might have to permanently quit his day job.
Nox released his first album in 2004 and is one of the few Urban Grooves artists that have weathered the time. He's approaching 2 decades in the music industry and it seems he's only getting better.
